The Dallas AI Visibility Index

What is the Dallas AI Visibility Index?

The Dallas AI Visibility Index is a measurement program, not a marketing claim. It scores Dallas-Fort Worth businesses on how visible they are inside five AI systems — ChatGPT (OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), Gemini (Google), Grok (xAI), and Perplexity — using the AIR Score, a trademark of Deep AI Solutions Inc.

The AIR Score is a composite 0-100 number built from three signals across all five engines:

  • Mention — does the AI know your business exists?
  • Recommendation — does it actually suggest you when someone asks for a provider?
  • Sentiment — when it talks about you, is it positive, neutral, or wrong?

Why does this matter in DFW specifically? Dallas-Fort Worth is the 4th-largest U.S. metro at 8,477,157 residents, adding roughly 339 people per day (U.S. Census Bureau 2025 estimates via the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership). Every one of those new residents needs a dentist, an HVAC company, a lawyer, a gym — and a growing share of them ask an AI instead of scrolling Google. Pew Research (via iQDigital, 2026) puts weekly AI chatbot use at roughly 1 in 3 U.S. adults.

How is the AIR Score measured?

We run structured, repeatable prompts against all five AI systems — the same questions a real customer would ask, like "who's the best plumber near Frisco" or "recommend an estate attorney in Plano." We record whether your business is mentioned, whether it's recommended, and the sentiment of what the AI says. Those results roll up into a single 0-100 AIR Score.

This is not a one-off gimmick. The harness is already running at national scale: our live AI Visibility Index at deepaivisibility.com/ai-visibility-index publishes real multi-engine scan data (the HVAC and plumbing national edition is live now). The same methodology powered our published Houston research.

Three honest notes on methodology:

  • AI answers vary run to run, so we score across repeated prompts, not a single response.
  • Each engine behaves differently — for example, ChatGPT's search-grounded answers run against the Bing index, so a business not indexed in Bing cannot be cited by ChatGPT.
  • We publish what we measure. We do not publish scores we have not run.

What did the Houston study find — and what does it mean for Dallas?

Our Houston AI Visibility Index study (published research) measured businesses across the Houston metro and found a metro-wide median AIR Score of 31/100.

Read that again: the median business across the Houston metro scores 31 out of 100 on AI visibility. Our read of that number: a median that low suggests the typical business has significant untapped visibility in the tools roughly 1 in 3 U.S. adults now use weekly (Pew Research via iQDigital, 2026).

We have no reason to believe Dallas is different, but we won't claim it is — because we haven't published Dallas numbers yet. That's the point of this page. The Houston study proves the measurement works at metro scale. Dallas is next.

The national behavior data explains why the gap matters:

  • Google AI Overviews now appear in roughly half of Google searches (D&D SEO Services, 2026)
  • 71.7% of ChatGPT citations come from pages with organic search presence (GrowingAI, 2026)
  • Pages untouched for ~90 days see measurably fewer AI citations (iQDigital, 2026)

If your Dallas business isn't being measured, it isn't being managed.

Are there Dallas rankings yet?

No — and we won't fake them. No published Dallas AIR Scores exist yet, from us or anyone else. Any agency showing you a "Dallas AI ranking" today without a documented, repeatable methodology is showing you theater.

Here's the honest state of the Dallas market: a small cluster of local agencies now markets AEO/GEO explicitly — DallasGEO.com, DevBarry, GetCito, Apex Digitech — but no single firm dominates the AI-visibility category. Meanwhile, the July 2026 Clutch list of top Dallas SEO firms (SmartSites, Razor Rank, Funnel Boost Media) isn't positioned around AI search at all. The category is forming and fragmented.

We compete on published data, not first-mover claims. Our national index is live. Our Houston study is published. The same harness scores Dallas businesses on request — which means the first Dallas measurement wave is being built right now, one scan at a time. Businesses scanned early become the baseline the metro gets measured against.

Why Dallas businesses should care now

DFW is a corporate heavyweight — 24 Fortune 500 companies made the 2026 list (CultureMap Dallas), and the Dallas Regional Chamber's 2026 guide counts 44 Fortune 1000 headquarters. But AI visibility isn't just an enterprise problem. It hits hardest in the neighborhoods where competition is thickest:

  • Uptown/Downtown — the professional-services core, where "best law firm in Dallas" is now an AI prompt
  • Frisco — the fastest-growing large suburb, home to PGA of America HQ and The Star, where new residents arrive with zero brand loyalty
  • Plano/Legacy West — Toyota North America and the JPMorgan Chase campus anchor a dense B2B market
  • Las Colinas (Irving) — a corporate HQ enclave full of vendors competing for the same buyers

Demand for this work is measurable too: "AI SEO" pulls 6,600-8,100 U.S. searches per month, up 84% year over year (SE Ranking via WebPossible), and "GEO agency" searches grew 1,850% year over year (Google Keyword Planner via SEO Strategy study). The category is arriving whether Dallas businesses measure it or not.

For service businesses, the stakes stack on top of an existing leak: home-service companies already miss 27-62% of inbound calls, at $275-$1,200 per missed call (Invoca research / Brilo AI, 2026). Being invisible to AI adds a second leak before the phone ever rings.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AIR Score?

The AIR Score, a trademark of Deep AI Solutions Inc, is a composite 0-100 measurement of your business's visibility across five AI systems: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Perplexity. It combines three signals — whether the AIs mention you, whether they recommend you to customers, and the sentiment of what they say. It's the same methodology behind our live national index at deepaivisibility.com and our published Houston metro study.

Is there a published AI visibility ranking for Dallas businesses?

Not yet — and we won't invent one. No published Dallas AIR Scores exist from us or any other firm. Our Houston AI Visibility Index study found a metro-wide median of 31/100, which proves the measurement works at metro scale. Dallas businesses can be scored on request right now with the same harness, and early scans form the baseline for the first Dallas measurement wave.

What is a good AIR Score?

Context matters more than a fixed threshold. Our Houston AI Visibility Index study found a metro-wide median AIR Score of 31/100 — so the median business scores 31 out of 100. Scoring above that median already puts you ahead of most measured competitors. A strong score means all five engines consistently mention you, recommend you for relevant queries, and describe you accurately and positively.

Why does my business show up in Google but not in ChatGPT?

Different engines pull from different sources. ChatGPT's search-grounded answers run against the Bing index — if you're not indexed in Bing, ChatGPT can't cite you. Also, 71.7% of ChatGPT citations come from pages with organic search presence (GrowingAI, 2026), and pages untouched for around 90 days see measurably fewer AI citations (iQDigital, 2026). Google visibility helps, but it doesn't automatically transfer.

How much does it cost to get scored?

The instant scan at deepaivisibility.com/#scanner is free — no cost, no commitment. It gives you a real read on your current AI visibility. If you then want ongoing measurement and improvement, our plans are Signal at $1,299/mo, Authority at $2,999/mo, and Dominance at $5,999/mo — all month-to-month with no setup fee.

Is Deep AI Solutions a Dallas company?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. Deep AI Solutions Inc is headquartered in Houston at 3050 Post Oak Blvd, Suite 510 — Texas-based, serving Dallas and the broader Texas market. What we bring to Dallas is a working measurement harness, a live national AI Visibility Index with real scan data, published metro research from Houston, and same-state proximity.

How many people actually use AI to find businesses?

Roughly 1 in 3 U.S. adults uses an AI chatbot at least weekly (Pew Research via iQDigital, 2026), and Google AI Overviews now appear in roughly half of Google searches (D&D SEO Services, 2026). In a metro adding about 339 new residents per day (U.S. Census Bureau 2025 estimates), a meaningful share of first-time provider searches in DFW now happen inside AI answers.
